Abstract

Within environmental ethics, naturocentrism is the axiological and normative position in which the intrinsically valuable is identified with the property of being "natural". Faced with what many people still consider, naturocentrism is far from the premises presented by the theory of value generally assumed by animal ethics, sensocentrism. The goal of the article is to analyze the differences between both positions. Likewise, by virtue of its problems, the inconvenience of the environmentalist position is defended.
