análise do discurso dos grupos de pressão da indústria láctea europeia

Resumo

Este artigo apresenta os principais resultados da investigação de doutoramento do autor (Ruiz Carreras, 2021), com o objetivo geral de estudar o discurso dos grupos de pressão da European Dairy Industry (EDI) numa perspetiva não especista. Para tanto, examina-se o EDI como ator econômico e influente, identificando as empresas e os principais grupos de pressão e analisando o discurso construído sobre as vacas exploradas pela indústria e sobre as recomendações nutricionais.
A análise mostra que o ILE adapta sua narrativa às atuais preocupações do público relacionadas à ciência, saúde, meio ambiente e bem-estar animal, contradizendo-as ao mesmo tempo. Particularmente notável é a negação dos interesses dos animais  explorados por suas segregações maternais por meio de uma representação que os reifica e obvia sua capacidade de senciência, autonomia e individualidade.
