Reflexiones e intuiciones sobre la empatía en los animales. Una perspectiva fenomenológica

Resumo

São apresentadas duas reflexões interligadas que visam analisar o fenômeno da empatia nos animais e como os seres humanos atribuem a eles esse processo. Para isso, colocam-se em discussão os pressupostos filosóficos que historicamente impediram que os animais fossem compreendidos como seres mentalmente complexos. Para entender como a empatia ocorre e se manifesta, alguns elementos da filosofia fenomenológica são retomados, principalmente a proposta de uma relação co-constitutiva entre corpo e mente. O conceito de intuição e sua importância na atribuição de empatia também são utilizados. Conclui-se que a empatia não ocorre apenas na mente, mas implica estar de certa forma com o corpo, no mundo e com os outros; nesse sentido, a empatia seria um fenômeno corporificado e socialmente situado.
