Educação no complexo animal-industrial

Este capítulo, com base em pesquisa etnográfica e entrevistas em educação veterinária e no ensino secundário, aborda as conexões entre a educação ciência animal e indústrias de animais através de conceito esquizoanalítica: a máquina abstrata (Deleuze e Guattari, [1980] 2004). Dois eixos principais e interseccionais que atravessam a educação em ciência animal são explorados: Capital animal e o complexo animal-industrial. Em primeiro lugar, o capítulo identifica e põe em evidência um "elo perdido" da pesquisa em educação nos estudos sobre capital animal e o complexo animal-industrial. Em segundo lugar, o capítulo pergunta o que acontece com o complexo animal-industrial em uma abordagem esquizoanalítica da educação. A noção do complexo animal-industrial precisa ser modificada para dar conta da função multifacetada da educação. Em termos esquizoanalíticos, o complexo animal-industrial é uma máquina abstrata que organiza as condições de vida dos animais e dos estudantes na educação, assim como na sociedade em geral.
