Diálogo crítico con las 18 tesis alemanas de materialismo histórico y liberación animal

Abstract

The article engages in a critical dialogue with the 18 German theses on marxism and animal liberation published in the RLECA (Year VI, Vol. II, 2020). It is conjectured that a programmatic update of Leon Trotsky's theory of permanent revolution, historical materialism in the contemporary civilizational crisis, the strategic agency of the labor movement, wage labor and its political parties, need to incorporate the liberation of animal species in the South and North, exploited by universal capital, distancing themselves from Western speciesist ideology and imperialism. The order followed is to dialogue around seven controversial points among defenders of animals, the environment and the socialist project, in light of the eighteen German theses and the species sciences.

Sergio Chaparro-Arenas

Es un profesor, investigador independiente y filósofo latinoamericano. Profesional en Filosofía de la Universidad del Rosario (φ UR, Colombia). Magíster en Estudios Sociales de la Ciencia por la Universidad Nacional de Colombia (UNAL). Sus líneas de trabajo y las agendas que lo estimulan intelectual y agencialmente bordean la crisis civilizatoria del capitalismo y las catástrofes; la filosofía de naturaleza-humanos-animales (HAS) y la ecología científica; la agencia de movimientos y partidos; los estudios sociales de ciencia y tecnología (STS); la filosofía moderna y contemporánea de lo político y las ciencias.
