En este artículo Dinesh Wadiwel propone realizar un desplazamiento metodológico a partir del cual pensar nuestra relación con los peces y demás animales marítimos. En lugar de partir de la pregunta en torno al sufrimiento, pregunta mediada por una violencia epistémica que hace de los peces seres sin agencia y sensibilidad, Wadiwel pone de relieve la cuestión de la resitencia. Partiendo de una postura operaísta y foucaultiana, el autor elabora una concepción de resistencia que no necesariamente tiene que implicar un acto consciente, sino que funciona como la contraparte estratégica de los dispositivos desarrollados para combatirla. A través de esta lente, Wadiwel estudia tecnologías como el gancho de pesca, la red y las prácticas contemporáneas de acuacultura, como formas de contestar a la resistencia que los peces ponen a su captura.
