After the truth, the antagonism

It does not sound controverse to say that humanity allows itself to treat non-human ani- mals in such heinous ways because it comprehends itself – or at least acts as if it did – as being separated from them by a line drawn short of clemency, beyond which only those unworthy of sympathy would inhabit. Neither does it controverse to say that it routinely tries to legitimate such lines, such “us x them” with speeches which arrogate themselves as “objective”, teeming with “truth”. In the effort that follows, we analyze Nietzschean critique of truth, of how this construct was always cunningly invoked in the search for domain, power, commenting on examples of how, precisely because of that, it has being utilized to arbitrarily try and sanction the brutalization of certain groups – both of the human and non-human kinds.
