Abstract

This essay aims to examine the question of animal alterity through a correspondance between philosophy and literature, through the works of Jacques Derrida and Hélène Cixous. Taking into account the importance of the question of the animal to deconstructivism, broadly speaking, and the arguments raised in L’animal que donc je suis more specifically, we’ll read a few passages from L'amour du loup et autres remords and Rêve je te dis, two collections of hybrid narratives published by Cixous in 2003.
