Abstract

This paper aims to explore if there is any relation – and which is it, in that case - between two areas of the law that seem so different and so far from each other, such as animal rights and civil law – family law in particular. Even though a first approach to this question might indicate that no such relation exists, in what follows I would like to suggest that there is, in fact, a closer link between those disciplines than it is imagined, and that at the same time both of them have much to offer to the other.
