Resumen

¿Qué significa para una persona declarar su veganismo al mundo? ¿Cómo afecta al sentido de identidad la transición de una dieta a otra? El veganismo desafía el carácter fundamental de cómo nos “representamos” a nosotros mismos –sobre todo en el contexto de la sexualidad y el género. En mi artículo, me intereso en el potencial del veganismo para romper el vínculo “natural” entre las formaciones de género y el consumo de productos animales, en términos de genealogías sociales y culturales. En consecuencia, exploraré una forma queer de veganismo que afirma el impacto radical de lo que Sara Ahmed llama “desviación compartida”.
