Abstract

This compilation of essays presented by Lisa Kemmerer shows the diversity that exists in feminism and animalism to address the issue of non-human animals, in addition to making explicit the fundamental contribution of women to the animal liberation movement both in the theoretical space and in the practical space-activism-. Kemmerer accuses an alarming lack of recognition of the sustained work (since the first wave of feminism) that activists have taken in everything related to the recognition of non-human animals as subjects that deserve respect and consideration.
