Abstract

This article makes an analysis of the figure of the animal from the bonds of Giordano Bruno and feel of Jean-Luc Nancy. A proposed reading that is part of the daily life of the animal concept, understanding it through the notion of another signifier. A materialistic view taking the cat as a concrete example of bonding, constituting as a companion species according to the terms of Donna Haraway. Thus, the concept of pet is displaced from its pejorative status to be considered by its semantic meaning: a talisman; thinking from protection, companionship and affection, elements that also form links and bodies.
