Abstract

In the complex of Ver-o-Peso (PA) and, more specifically, in Pedra dos Peixes, the mornings are marked by intense interactional flows involving humans (a variety of workers, traders, buyers, passersby, tourists and others) and the local urban avifauna, such as the Black Vulture (Coragyps atratus) and the Great White Egret (Ardea alba), which establishes complex interspecific and ecological relationships in the urban context. Through a ethnographic research, we problematize a diverse series of interspecific socialities that occurs between human and non-human agents involved in that context.
